This wood lamp contains a UV bulb which emits ultraviolet rays that penetrate the skin, to allow beauticians to identify skin anomalies and help to analyse under the surface of the skin. This helps beauticians to determine what is the most appropriate course of treatment for the client's skin. Under the light, different skin conditions will appear as different colours (to indicate sensitive skin, pigmentation, dry skin, acne or oily skin).
